"I dream on paper."

Hi!
I’m Megan M. Maddox.
Born in 1988, I spent the first thirty-four years of my life in north central Utah, where the mountains are majestic, the people are beautiful, and the air is poison.
I’ve quite literally devoted my life to writing. By fact, all I’ve ever truly wanted, is to write novels that would inspire people the same way my favorite books have inspired me. Trouble is, I’m stubborn, and I'm patient. I refused to put my name on anything that I hadn’t deigned to be ‘as good’ as the stories I grew up with.
Pivotal Dawn has become those stories.
And yet, after a sequence of bad choices and unfortunate events led me to live in Eastern Idaho, I thought my dreams were over. I never could have imagined that my life was about to start again, or that the fruition of those dreams had only just begun.
My journey into YA Romantasy started in late 2023 at a job I only took because I had to, in a state I resented, with a bunch of middle schoolers I initially suspected would be the death of me.
As fate would have it, that job was more than a job, those young people reawakened my entire soul, and a new saga was born from the ashes of an existence I’d been ready to resign myself to.
Pivotal Dawn is more than just a series.
The foundation of these magical works is based in chasing dreams, and facing nightmares. In overcoming our greatest fears, and shedding light on our darkest paths.
Though I’m still residing in Idaho, and my time at that middle school only lasted a year, the experience I had with those extra-ordinary young adults lives on in a tale that started as nothing, and became everything. In characters that have grown to be as real as the lives we live, the people we love, and the passions that drive us. A calling, which has taught me that life is Art, and we must live it.
So, I invite you to grab your fluffiest blanket and preferred beverage. Get cozy, and accompany me into worlds you’ll never want to leave.
…Oh, and also my hobbies include hanging out with my people, travel, mindlessly obsessing over whatever project I have going at any given time, and embracing the feminie urge to dance around fires.
You can learn more about my adventures and misadventures on my blog, where I’ll be posting new entries every Sunday at 9am Mountain Time.

Happy reading!
